Perth Thunder Alumni Game Worn Jerseys for "Brain Foundation" Online Charity Auction

The Brain Foundation is a nationally registered charity dedicated to funding world-class research Australia-wide into neurological disorders, brain disease & brain injuries.

The Brain Foundation was established as the Australian Neurological Foundation in 1970. For many years in the mid-twentieth century, Australian neurologists struggled with inadequate factilities for treating patients, and a lack of support for research. Many of the best practitioners went overseas to gain experience.

The founding members included business professionals & scientists, including some of the most prominent Australian neurlogists at the time.

The National focus in the founding years was a major public appeal, funding of research grants, support services such as the National Stroke Project, and community education programs such as a National Symposium on Head Injuries.

The Brain Foundation is dedicated to funding the next generation of Australian research into neurological disorders, diseases, and injuries, with the ultimate goal of advancing diagnoses, treatments, and patient outcomes.

Their work includes:

- Annual grants program

- Raising awareness about the prevalence and impact of brain disorders, diseases & injuries

- Educating patients & clinicians through webinar events and medically reviewed articles

- Community support & advocacy (for migraine & headache particularly)

- Keeping their supporters up to date on the latest medical news through their newsletters & social media

With no government funding for their research grants, the Brain Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, corporate donors & bequests.

This Charity auction, sponsored by C.D. Dodd Scrap Metal Recyclers and The Grout Guy, provides an opportunity for Bidders to purchase Game Worn Jerseys from the Perth Thunder from their recent Alumni Game, played on Saturday the 14th of December.
